DE DOMIJNEN was created in January 2015. The museum contemporary art of De Domijnen is as of 4th September located in the new complex Ligne in Sittard-Geleen. This new architectural landmark consists of two buildings which houses Zuyd HS, residents of Daelzicht, the new library DeDomijnen in a joint venture with Zuyd HS, a cinema for art house films and the new museum. By joining forces we aim for a new culture experience. Our existing services go hand in hand with inspiring developments which provide plenty of incentives and challenges. Museum De Domijnen is a relative young museum for contemporary art and urban history and archaeology.

De Salon: Sittard: how do you imagine it?

The Stichting De Salon Sittard-Geleen foundation for art challenges artists to cast their visions for the future of Sittard into art. What is characteristic of Sittard? Participating artists: Chantal Le Doux, Eleni Kamma, Laura van Eik, Vanessa Mezzolla, Tanja Schell & Paul Koenen, Nathalie Brans, OTOMAX (= Paul Devens, Joep Hinssen, Mike Moonen, Fran Hoebergen & Nika Schmitt) and Simone Schuffelen.
